Sydney Brant, LMSW
A graduate of Columbia University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Sydney completed a yearlong internship with Metro NY DBT Center facilitating DBT skills groups to adults through our IOP and outpatient programs. She also acted as an intake coordinator, helping orient clients to our programs and getting them started in treatment. Sydney’s second year, she completed a yearlong training through Columbia University’s Dialectical Behavior Therapy Intensive Training Program and was intensively trained in DBT through Behavioral Tech, LLC. Sydney gained experience providing outpatient comprehensive DBT to adults, adolescents and families at the Behavior Therapy Group, a private practice in Greenwich, Connecticut. She has additional training in suicide risk assessment, motivational interviewing and CBT for sleep disorders. Sydney has previously served as the administrative assistant for the practice. She has an appreciation for the systemic factors that impact treatment accessibility. In her free time, Sydney coaches youth and high school lacrosse and loves to bake up a sweet treat!
