Dear Metro Community Member,
As you know, mask mandates are shifting and we are sure you have questions. Metro NY DBT Center is preparing to offer limited individual sessions in person. Clients will have a choice to attend individual sessions in person or on Zoom. Within this hybrid framework, one must be vaccinated to attend the offices in person. We will need a copy of your most up to date vaccination card. At this time, we will continue to require masks indoors in public hallways and waiting areas. In session, masks are optional for clients, family members, and clinicians who are vaccinated.
Groups, due to the nature of the format and the small size of our group therapy suite, will continue in a virtual format. We have been encouraged by the positive feedback on virtual groups. Clients have shared that groups have been productive for the past 24 months via Zoom.
This is all exciting news, and especially after a tumultuous start to 2022, we could not be happier that conditions are promising as we head into spring. While changes to masking may create feelings of uneasiness because of the sense of security they have provided, we also know that this is how the post-pandemic future begins and that is a period I know we are all eager to experience.
Sincerely,
Carrie Diamond, PsyD
Clinical Director
